Seeking to blend the distinctive aesthetics of Eastern and Western design, a German client based in Asia developed a new line of messenger bags. The collection seamlessly merges timeless craftsmanship with subtle nods to Asian influences. Working closely with an accessories designer, a versatile brand identity was established that served as the foundation for the collection. The Osten logo, inspired by the German word for “east,” features a clean, minimalist mark that evokes a sense of both tradition and modernity.
Primary logo and marque
A series of posters will be designed by various artists, designers, and illustrators. Each poster will be printed only once, cut to size, and applied to a limited number of bags and accessories. This is the first poster, which is based on a Chinese proverb. A mini poster will also be printed, folded and placed inside a ‘red packet’ hang tag (these contain money and are handed out in Asia during Chinese New Year, birthdays, weddings, or other important events).
